A brand new round of students have started this Trimester. There is a feeling of eagerness in the air as kids want to grab the cameras and start taking pictures! So far we've seen a very nice amount of variety in the photos.

TWO awesome projects in a row. Seriously....they are working so hard to create the absolute best photos possible! This time they had to take a walk down memory lane and start breaking out all those toys that they've forgotten about. Now they have to apply all of their knowledge to create a scene, a story, an emotional reaction to these solitary items. Enjoy!!
The idea of Light Painting with a camera is something that almost always gets a "WHAT?! How do you do that!?" kind of reaction. These students came, they saw, and they conquered this assignment. Big time. From outdoors, to in-school, or at home these proceeding images are only a SAMPLE of what these kids accomplished!!
And we're back! Shoot, I thought that I would've been a tad more on the ball with updating information and showing off the awesome work this Trimester's kids are creating. So without further ado....this is the first round of their favorite photos that the kids selected.
Last Friday the photography class had the challenge to use wooden drawing mannequins as the subject. The goal was to show them in action, or include personality all the while trying to hide the metal stand that holds it up. Here are some of them! A new crop of photography newbies has arisen!! Stay tuned to all of their awesome work...
As we're getting closer to the end of the year there's a lot going on! Tests, quizzes, projects and worksheets all share their role in getting the student achieving to the best of their ability. This year's Photo class is no exception although people do consider their assignments not all that complicated.....here's a sampling of their "homework." Art and photography equally can evoke emotions that are both happy, sad and everything in between. The students went ahead and created their own imagery showcasing various moods. A lot of photography is about scenes that are out in the world. Children playing, landscapes, still lifes, etc. But what happens when the photographer has to CREATE their own subject? Literally! The Paper Children idea is based loosely on the movie Marwecol and photographer Mike Hogancamp. The students draw their own subjects: birds, characters, plants and place them in the environment and take the best photos possible. Here are a few! Variety is the spice of life and in this class that's what we're ALL about! The last two QUICKfire! assignments have revolved around using mannequins and creating memes. Some crazy crazy things happen....check it out... |
